Organic Synthesis Using Transition Metal Complexes Containing π‐Bonded LigandsBased in part on the article Organic Synthesis using Transition Metal Complexes Containing π‐Bonded Ligands by Martin F. Semmelhack which appeared in the Encyclopedia of Inorganic Chemistry, First Edition .

Abstract: A selective overview of reactions of transition metal π‐complexes pertaining to organic synthesis applications is provided. While reactions involving nucleophilic addition to pi‐coordinated ligands are emphasized, alkene insertion/elimination reactions and allyl coupling reactions are also discussed.
