Abstract: We report on the construction and investigation of Li–air batteries consisting of a charcoal cathode and cotton texture soaked with different organic solvents containing a lithium triflate (LiOTf) electrolyte. Charcoal was found to be an appropriate cathode for Li–air batteries.
