This study aims to utilize data from soil analysis as a basis for plant nutrient management to increase the productivity of shallots of the palu valley variety. The first phase of the research was carried out using the survey method at 7 main locations of shallot development of the palu valley variety. The second phase of the study is a field experiment using a 2-factor factorial experiment. The first factor is the dose of chicken manure 10 tons ha−1 (O1) and 15 tons ha−1 (O2) while the second factor is 48 kg S ha−1 (H1), 72 kg S ha−1(H2), 100 kg KCl ha−1 (H3), and 200 kg KCl ha−1 (H4). The results showed that the dominant soil properties affecting low productivity were soil texture dominated by sand and dust fractions at all sites ranging from 64-89%, soil clay content ranging from 11-36%. Soil C-organic content is very low to low (0.67-1.79%), N-total soil is very low to low (0.04-0.16%). Available K2O (Morgan) levels are generally low (4.29-10.12 ppm) except for Tanamodindi and Poboya. The results of field experiments showed that the application of organic matter equivalent to 15 tons of ha−1 resulted in a fresh tuber weight of 10.94 tons ha−1 (O2), markedly higher than that of giving 10 tons of ha−1 which results in a fresh tuber weight of 9.67 tons ha−1 (O1). The use of KCl fertilizer at a dose of 200 kg ha−1 resulted in a fresh tuber weight of 12.35 tons ha−1 (H4), markedly higher than 100 kg KCl ha−1 (H3). 72 kg S ha−1 (H2) and 48 kg KCl ha−1 (H1).

Teknologi budidaya bawang merah secara umum sudah banyak diketahui dan dipraktekkan. Namun, secara khusus bawang merah lokal varietas Lembah Palu (Allium cepa L. kelompok Aggregatum) belum banyak diketahui masyarakat luas. Jenis bawang ini digunakan sebagai bahan baku industri bawang goreng berkualitas prima. Tujuan artikel ini untuk melakukan kajian teknologi dalam rangka peningkatan produktivitas bawang merah varietas Lembah Palu (BMVLP). Artikel ini, menguraikan berbagai komponen teknologi budidaya BMVLP, meliputi aspek lingkungan tumbuh, penanganan umbi dan benih, pola dan jarak tanam, pemupukan dan respon tanaman, penggunaan zat pengatur tumbuh, pengelolaan air irigasi, pengendalian hama dan penyakit, dan modifikasi lingkungan mikro. Beberapa dari hasil kajian teknologi ini telah dimanfaatkan oleh peneliti, akademisi, dan petani sebagai referensi untuk peningkatan produktivitas BMVLP, khususnya pada sentra-sentra produksi di kawasan Lembah Palu, Sulawesi Tengah.Kata kunci: bawang goreng, pemupukan, sayuran, umbi, unggulan

This study aims to improve the growth, yield, and quality of LP-VoS bulbs by applying bokashi fertilizer from goat manure and regulating the duration of water supply with a sprinkler irrigation system. This research is a field that arranged in split-plot design. The main plot is the duration of irrigation water supply, consisting of three levels, 0.5; 1,0; and 1.5 hours. The subplot is giving organic fertilizer bokashi goat manure, which consists of two kinds, namely: without bokashi fertilizer and the addition of bokashi fertilizer 15 t.ha-1. Each treatment was repeated three times so that in total, there were 18 experimental plot units. The results showed that the duration of irrigation 0.5 hours at intervals of 3 days, followed by the application of 15 t.ha-1 bokashi organic fertilizer could increase the bulb circle of 'Lembah Palu' varieties.The use of bokashi organic fertilizer 15 t.ha-1 could increase soil moisture so it can growth, yields, and quality of shallot bulb. The duration of irrigation with a sprinkler system for 0.5-1.0 hours at intervals of 3 days could result in the growth of total dry weight and total leaf area per plant as well as the number of tubers per clump, fresh weight of tubers per clump and yield of tubers per hectare higher than treatment of water for 1.5 hours at intervals of 3 days. Water supply regulations and the use of bokashi organic fertilizers can increase the growth, yield, and quality of LP-VoS bulbs on dryland. For the cultivation of‘Lembah Palu’ varieties of shallots in dry land, it is necessary to apply organic fertilizers to increase the soil water content for increased production and quality.
