“…In a survey of one donation lead at each Canadian PICU, with a response from 15 of 16 PICUs, there were some interesting findings (1). Only 13 of 15 PICUs routinely offered donation after death by circulatory criteria (DCD) (and only six supported this at the termination of extracorporeal life support), only 11 of 15 PICUs had requirements for mandatory referral of potential donors, and only 8 of 13 PICUs with donation champions had this role supported financially.…”
