Abstract:In this study, orange-red-emitting carbon dots (OR-CDs) were prepared from p-phenylenediamine (p-PDA) and urea as starting precursors through the hydrothermal method. The OR-CDs exhibited bright orange-red fluorescence at 618 nm when excited at 480 nm. The obtained OR-CDs exhibited stable photophysical properties under different physiological conditions. The unique photophysical property of OR-CDs were then utilized for fluorometric determination of bilirubin. The fluorometric assay revealed that the fluoresce… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
