Oral Health Related Quality of Life Impact in Dentistry

Abstract: In spite of its recent emergence over the past 30 years, oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) has important impact on the clinical practice of dentistry and dental research. OHRQoL is a multidimensional paradigm that involves a subjective evaluation of the individual's oral health, functional well-being, emotional wellbeing, expectations and satisfaction with care, and sense of self. It has been beneficial in relation to clinical research and health policies regulation.
