Oral Appliances for the Treatment of Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Abstract: Background: Removable oral appliances are employed to treat obstructive sleep apnea and snoring. In this review we summarize the current state of the art of this therapy. Methods: We performed a systematic review of the medical literature on the effectiveness, side effects and practical aspects of oral appliance therapy for sleep-disordered breathing.
