Optimum Path Tracking Control for the Inverse Problem of Vehicle Handling Dynamics Based on the hp-Adaptive Gaussian Pseudospectral Method

Abstract: We propose a vehicle path-tracking method based on the hp-adaptive Gaussian pseudospectral method (GPM), which tackles the problem of the slow convergence speed of the optimal control of vehicle path tracking. First, we establish a kinematic vehicle model by considering the path constraints and boundary constraints during the process of tracking the described path of a vehicle. Subsequently, finding the minimum error of the lateral distance between the prescribed path and the expected trajectory is set as the … Show more

“…Te design of the controller based on the adaptive feedforward neural network is based on the following assumptions: Assumption 1: Both x d , x d , x d , g(t) and g ′ (t) are bounded functions of time Assumption 2: All kinetic and kinematic function parameters (e.g., g ′ (t), V m (qq ′ ), G(q), J(q) and J + (q)) are bounded under all conditions of D [12,13] For the convenience of notation, the weight matrix of the neural network is specifed as Z ≡ diag W, V { }, at the same time, the weight estimation errors are denoted as…”

“…Because of the limitations of the potential field method, researchers have also introduced interpolation−based planning algorithms [12]. This method utilizes geometric curves as its foundation, interpolating intermediate nodes based on known starting and ending points to generate smooth trajectories.…”
