Optimum design of a magnetostatic surface wave delay line based on a multiple-layer structure

Abstract: Selection of the thicknesses of the layers and the magnetic parameters for a given multiple-layer configuration is formulated as a constrainted optimization problem. Recursive equality constrainted quadratic programming is used to minimize the design objective from an arbitrarily initial point in the parameter space of design variables. The solutions of a few design examples at the S band are presented.
