“…In the course of sarcoidosis, the above-mentioned haematological symptoms are not frequent and the lack of a response to attempted conservative treatment gives grounds for offering surgical treatment to the patient, according to Mahévas et al [13]. Planned laparoscopic splenectomy is currently considered the gold standard [1,5,8,14] and it was performed in the presented patients.
