Optimizing the Regional Industrial Structure Based on the Environmental Carrying Capacity: An Inexact Fuzzy Multi-Objective Programming Model

Abstract: An inexact fuzzy multi-objective programming model (IFMOP) based on the environmental carrying capacity is provided for industrial structure optimization problems. In the IFMOP model, both fuzzy linear programming (FLP) and inexact linear programming (ILP) methods are introduced into a multi-objective programming framework. It allows uncertainties to be directly communicated into the problem solving processing, and it can effectively reflect the complexity and uncertainty of an industrial system without imprac… Show more

“…Specifically, industrial structural upgrading had a significant positive effect, while eliminating the industrial enterprises of high water consumption and wastewater discharge. Then, the high-tech and green industries would gradually occupy a dominant position in this process [66,67]. The economic development level also had a significant positive effect, which was consistent with the theory of environmental Kuznets curve.…”

“…The second one is the index system method which reifies ecosystem information based on several theoretical frameworks such as "pressure-state-response" (PSR) (Wei et al, 2014;Zheng et al, 2015), "pressure-state-impact-response" (PSIR) (Lockie et al, 2005), and "driving force-pressure-state-impact-response" (DPSIR) (de Jonge et al, 2012). The third one is the system model method that uses models to simulate and reflect the current situation and possible changes of the ecosystem's carrying capacity, such as system dynamics (SD) , multi-objective programming model (MOP) (Wang and Zeng, 2013), and artificial neutral network (ANN) .…”

“…In many studies, the comprehensive indices are the carrying status rather than the potential carrying capacities. As far as the techniques are concerned, methods such as System Dynamics (SD) (Wang et al, 2014), Multi-Objective Programming model (MOP) (Wang and Zeng, 2013), and Artificial Neutral Network (ANN) (Wang et al, 2014) are used in the studies.…”
