Optimizing electronic blood ordering and supporting administration workflows to improve blood utilization in the pediatric hospital setting

Abstract: BackgroundRed blood cell wastage occurs when blood is discarded rather than transfused, and ineffective ordering results in unnecessary crossmatch procedures.
