Optimizers for optimal coordination of distance relays and non-standard characteristics of directional overcurrent relays

Abstract: In this paper, different methods are utilized to solve the coordination issue involving directional overcurrent relays (DOCRs) and distance relays. The proper coordination of DOCRs and distance relays is a critical issue for system security in electrical networks.
