Optimized Organometal Halide Perovskite Planar Hybrid Solar Cells via Control of Solvent Evaporation Rate

Abstract: Organometallic halide perovskite-based solar cells have exhibited rapidly increasing efficiencies through the use of mesoporous composites. The addition of materials used in organic solar cells to perovskite-based solar cells (PSCs) enables the fabrication of low-cost, flexible, low-temperature, solutionprocessed PSCs. However, obtaining sufficient coverage of the organic layer, usually poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)−poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS), with CH 3 NH 3 PbI 3−x Cl x films remains difficult in s… Show more

“…Kang et al . have recently reported a comparative investigation of CH 3 NH 3 PbI 3 perovskites according to their fabrication methods and identified that more suitable devices for practical uses are based on one-step solution processing owing to the narrow distribution of the device efficiency and the stability under ambient conditions2425. In the present report, we conducted a quantitative study of perovskite-based THz switches.…”

“…Hydroiodic acid (HI) additives into MAPbI3 precursor in DMF also showed a similar effect for film nucleation and crystallizations and subsequently dense film formation. [121] Interestingly, planar heterojunction solar cells demonstrates 17% of PCE regardless of voltage scan rate with minimized hysteresis, which is attributed to the improved film homogeneity, fast charge transfer, long diffusion length and 10-fold low trap density of MAPbI3 film.…”

“…However, when the same device, except DPP devices, was continuously scanned, for all conditions, we frequently observed that V oc continuously increases but J sc decreases, probably resulting from the light soaking effect already known [39] (when the same device for each fabrication method was continuously scanned 12 times for 3 min, one result of the continuous scan performance is shown in Table S1). Even when the same device was continuously scanned by changing the scanning rate, as shown in Histograms & the skeletal box-and-whisker plots of photovoltaic performance parameters [40] for the first scan of 60 devices per each fabrication methods are also shown in Fig. 3a.…”
