Optimized Current-Mode Class-D RF Power Amplifier for Software Defined Radio

Abstract: This paper presents optimized Current-Mode Class-D (CMCD) RF Power Amplifiers (PA). The results demonstrate 73.63/79.75% Power Added Efficiency (PAE), for 29.5/26.5dBm output power in a standard 350/130nm CMOS technology at 2.4 GHz operation frequency for sine wave input.
