Optimization of route distance using k-NN algorithm for on-demand food delivery

Abstract: Customers are now more able to purchase goods over the phone or the Internet, and the ability for those purchases to be delivered safely to the customer’s location is proliferating. On-request meal delivery, where customers submit their food orders online, and riders deliver them, is growing in popularity. The cutting-edge urban food application necessitates incredibly efficient and adaptable continuous delivery administrations toward quick delivery with the shortest route. However, signing up enough food parc… Show more

“…While the deep learning models showed satisfactory results in patient flow forecasting, there is room for improvement [10]. One direction for enhancement is incorporating external factors like weather data and epidemic events to make the predictions more accurate [11]. Additionally, the study suggests designing an early detection system for overcrowding in Emergency Departments to enable proactive control, reducing the strain on resources and minimizing adverse consequences [12].…”

“…P. Paithane et al studied and promoted an online food ordering system to realize the efficient delivery of food deliverers, and used K-NN algorithm to solve the traveling salesman problem (TSP) to guide the progress. The proposed strategy reduced delivery delays by 10-15 minutes per order compared to traditional methods [12]. H. Zhang et al artificially realized the identification of different motivations of surrounding vehicles, thereby reducing traffic risks and realizing safe route planning.…”

“…The use of fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture may also have an influence on groundwater quality as it is one of the physical and chemical characteristics that are affected by human and geological activities [6]. This is true despite the fact that various biological and human activities can potentially affect the quality of groundwater [7]. The conventional approach is used for evaluating groundwater quality frequently makes extensive use of mathematical modeling techniques like time series analysis, probability statistics, etc.…”
