Optimization of Pedicle Screw Depth in the Lumbar Spine

Abstract: Optimization of pedicle screw insertion depth for ideal fixation and fusion remains a clinical challenge. Improved screw purchase may improve fixation strength 1, which is especially critical in an osteoporotic patient population.
