Abstract:The problem of light trapping engineering for semiconductor surfaces covered with randomly distributed spheroidal metallic nanoparticles has been considered. The absorption of incident light by such a structure has been calculated using the Green functions method, involving the concept of an effective susceptibility. A target function, optimizing broad-band light absorption throughout the visible range has been constructed taking the geometry of the structure as the control parameters. The optimization problem… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
