Optimization of microwave-assisted carbohydrate extraction from indigenous Scenedesmus sp. grown in brewery effluent using response surface methodology

Abstract: The use of wastewater as a nutrient source for microalgae cultivation is considered as a cost-effective approach for algal biomass and biofuel production.
