The wear behavior of squeeze cast Al5456alloy with TiC/Flyash nanoparticles is examined. L27 orthogonal array design is preferred to perform the wear experiments to study the influence of various applied loads, sliding distances and sliding speed. ANOVA is carried out to detect the significant and non-significant factors. The maximum and minimum amount of wear is attained as 0.012957mm3 /Nm and 0.002387mm3 /Nm in the 21th and 5th experiments respectively and The optimal factors are recognized to be a sliding distance of 700 m, load of 70 N, and sliding speed of 9 m/s. A model of the regression with three operational factors and three levels was developed for this study. The equations for WR were created by decreasing the sum of the square residuals using the conventional least square method. The regression output and experimental results are compared to estimate the predicted error.

ZrB2 particle-reinforced AA7475 is a potential material for high-performance aeronautical engine blades because of its exceptional characteristics. The machinability of ZrB2/AA7475 metal matrix composites (MMC) is still a challenge because of the influence of ZrB2 particles. The impact of ZrB2 particulates on the machined parameters of ZrB2/aluminum matrix composites was explored experimentally in order to meet the needs of industry. Additionally, the best machining circumstances for this type of material matrix composites were studied in this research. A surface roughness (Ra) and metal removal rate (MRR) multiobjective optimization model was built, and a set of ideal parameter combinations was produced, with the surface roughness of ZrB2/AA7475 material matrix composites being lower than that of the nonreinforced alloys at the same cutting speed.

In this study, process parameters and mechanical properties of the multi-scale composite were investigated experimentally and predictably. Multi-scale material includes boron carbide particles and multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) in the epoxy-based matrix. Both reinforcements were reinforced into the matrix with various rates simultaneously. Average three tensile strength and hardness values were determined. The tensile strength and hardness were enhanced thanks to high rate of B4C usage up to 54.09% and 2.54%, respectively. The microstructure of the hybrid composite was investigated by Scanning Electron Microscopy. Also, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy was used to interpret spectral bands. The experimental data were analyzed using optimization method. Optimal process parameters for tensile strength and interfacial properties were determined. The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to obtain most significant factor and optimum levels of parameters. Finally, it was observed that B4C ratio is the most dominant factor affecting the mechanical and thermal properties.
