The ubiquity of smartphone use nowadays is undeniable exponentially growing, replaced cell phones, and a host of other gadgets replaced personal computers to a certain degree. Different smartphones specifications and overwhelmed smartphone advertisements have caused broader choices for the customer. Many qualitative and quantitative criteria need to consider, and customers want to select the most suitable smartphones. They face difficulties deciding the best smartphone according to their budget and desire. Thus, a new method is needed to recommend the customer according to their preferences and budget. This study proposed a method for optimizing the recommendation system of the smartphone using the genetic algorithm (GA). Moreover, it is implemented with a progressive web application (PWA) platform to ensure the customer can use it on multiple platforms. They can choose the platform to input any specification of smartphone preferences besides the budget. Functional testing results showed the achievement of the study's objectives, and usability testing using UEQ managed to receive feedback of 93.64%, with an overall average mean of 4.682. Therefore, according to the outcome, it can be concluded that optimizing the smartphone recommendations through GA enables the customer to ease the comparison based on the obtained optimum result.

<span lang="EN-US">Generally, in traditional transportation problems, single items are transported from a set of origins to a set of destinations in such a way that the transportation cost is minimized. To face the challenges that arise in modelling transportation problem various parameters are to be considered. In this work to provide an optimal transportation policy to the decision maker, we have studied a fixed-charge bi-objective multi-product <br /> 4-dimensional transportation problem with vehicle speed under budget constraints under uncertain environment. The objective of the proposed model is to have the maximum profit with the minimum time taken of transporting the goods. An equivalent deterministic model of the proposed model is obtained to deal the uncertain variable using expected value-chance constraint properties on uncertainty theory and its compromise solution is obtained by using the goal programming technique. A numerical example is discussed to provide more clarity on the proposed model.</span>

N-gram based language models are very popular and extensively used statistical methods for solving various natural language processing problems including grammar checking. Smoothing is one of the most effective techniques used in building a language model to deal with data sparsity problem. Kneser-Ney is one of the most prominently used and successful smoothing technique for language modelling. In our previous work, we presented a Witten-Bell smoothing based language modelling technique for checking grammatical correctness of Bangla sentences which showed promising results outperforming previous methods. In this work, we proposed an improved method using Kneser-Ney smoothing based n-gram language model for grammar checking and performed a comparative performance analysis between Kneser-Ney and Witten-Bell smoothing techniques for the same purpose. We also provided an improved technique for calculating the optimum threshold which further enhanced the the results. Our experimental results show that, Kneser-Ney outperforms Witten-Bell as a smoothing technique when used with n-gram LMs for checking grammatical correctness of Bangla sentences.
