Abstract: PurposeComputed tomography (CT) pulmonary angiography is considered the gold standard for pulmonary embolism (PE) diagnosis, relying on the discrimination between contrast and embolus. Photon-counting detector CT (PCD-CT) generates monoenergetic reconstructions through energy-resolved detection.
