Optimalisasi Feses/Kotoran Dari Budidaya Ternak Ikan Sebagai Sumber Nutrisi Tanaman Dengan Sistem Aquaponik

Abstract

Community service activities (PKM) in optimizing feces/dung from fish farming as a source of plant nutrition with an aquaponic system were carried out on Giri Rejo Street 2, RT.032, Banyumas Village Km.15, Karang Joang Village, North Balikpapan District, Kota Balikpapan. The location of the PKM is one of the areas for fish cultivators (Pokdakan) Karya Mandiri, or it can be said that a group of associations of fish cultivators in Banyumas Village. This PKM activity aims to utilize faecal waste and fish feed waste as plant nutrients using an aquaponic system. The method of implementing this PKM includes establishing partnerships with Pokdakan Karya Mandiri partners to work together in the implementation of this PKM by utilizing land and fish ponds in the area, site surveys to obtain data needed in compiling PKM activities, installation of aquaponic systems, monitoring of aquaponic systems that have been implemented. Made, and the last stage is counseling the aquaponic system to the surrounding community, in this case the RT.032 community and the workforce of their own partners so that the aquaponic system becomes a sustainable system. From the results of the implementation of this PKM activity, 1 (one) unit of aquaponic system installation was produced and increased the independence of partner communities towards a sustainable aquaponic system. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) yang berupa optimalisasi feses/kotoran dari budidaya ternak ikan sebagai sumber nutrisi tanaman dengan sistem aquaponik dilaksanakan di Jalan Giri Rejo 2, RT.032, Kampung Banyumas Km.15, Kelurahan Karang Joang, Kecamatan Balikpapan Utara, Kota Balikpapan. Lokasi PKM tersebut merupakan salah satu kawasan pembudidaya perikanan (Pokdakan) Karya Mandiri atau dapat dikatakan sebuah kelompok perkumpulan para pembudidaya ikan yang ada di Kampung Banyumas. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah memanfaatkan limbah feses dan kotoran sisa pakan ikan sebagai nutrisi tanaman menggunakan sistem aquaponik. Metode pelaksanaan PKM ini meliputi menjalin kemitraan kepada mitra Pokdakan Karya Mandiri untuk bekerja sama dalam implementasi PKM ini dengan memanfaatkan lahan dan kolam ikan di daerah tersebut, survei lokasi untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan dalam menyusun kegiatan PKM, instalasi sistem aquaponik, pemantauan sistem aquaponik yang telah dibuat, dan tahapan yang terakhir adalah penyuluhan sistem aquaponik terhadap masyarakat sekitar dalam hal ini masyarakat RT.032 dan tenaga kerja dari mitra sendiri agar sistem aquaponik menjadi suatu sistem berkelanjutan. Dari hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini dihasilkan 1 (satu) unit instalasi sistem aquaponik dan peningkatan kemandirian masyarakat mitra terhadap sistem aquaponik yang berkelanjutan.
