Optimal radiation pattern synthesis of mutually coupled antenna array using an efficient compensation method

Abstract: An efficient compensation method is proposed for the reduction of mutual coupling among the elements of an antenna array using the optimum current amplitude excitation weights. The performance of an antenna array degrades heavily due to mutual coupling. The mutual coupling effect can neither be eliminated nor be ignored in the context of the antenna array design.
