Optimal Partially Replicated Cube, Star and Center Runs in Face-centered Central Composite Designs

Abstract: The variations of the Face-centered Central Composite Design under partial replications of design points are studied. The experimental conditions include replicating the cube points while the star points and center point are held fixed or not replicated, replicating the star points while the cube points and the center point are held fixed or not replicated and replicating the center point while the cube points and the star points are held fixed or not replicated. As a measure of goodness of the designs, D-and … Show more

“…If the p-value is less than 0.05, the factors affects the response significantly; if the p-value is higher than 0.05, the factor has no significant impact on the response. 15,16 The effects of each factor on gain strength, loss elongation, and stretch are explained very well in the following sections.…”

“…The efficiency values was obtained and the results suggest that replicated cubes plus replicated star points is better than partial replication of cube and star points under the design restrictions of rot at ability and orthogonality. Iwundu (2015), also examined the optimal partially replicated cube, star and center runs in Face centered central composite designs. The cube points was replicated while the star points and center point were fixed or not replicated, the star points was replicated while the cube points and star points were fixed and not replicated and the center points was replicated while the cube points and the star points were fixed or not replicated.…”
