Optimal panel of immunohistochemistry for the diagnosis of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma using bone marrow biopsy: a tertiary care center study

Abstract: Background Morphological diagnosis of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is usually based on lymph node biopsy. Bone marrow biopsy (BMB) is important for staging, and morphology alone can be challenging for subtyping. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) allows a more precise diagnosis and characterization of NHL using monoclonal antibodies. However, there is a need for a minimal panel that can provide maximum information at an affordable cost. Methods All newly diagnosed cases of B-cell… Show more

“…1 ( 44 ) and cxcr4b ( 45 ) were predominantly expressed in inflammatory macrophages. Additionally, pax5 ( 46 ) and cd79a ( 47 ) exhibited peak expression specifically in B cells, while rhag ( 48 ) and transcripts of prdx2 ( 49 ) and slc4a1a ( 50 ) were found only in erythrocytes (Figure 1E). Our data indicate that the cell types in zebrafish liver are conserved with those in the liver of mammals.…”

“…Also, flow cytometry and real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) techniques were used to detect leukemia phenotypes [ 13 ]. In addition, immunohistochemistry (IHC) served to diagnose various types of NHL [ 14 ]. The exclusion criteria were diseases such as diabetes, taking a blood product, drug or supplement, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a surgical operation within a month before participating in the study.…”
