Optimal Location and Sizing of Shunt Capacitors in Distribution Systems by Considering Different Load Scenarios

Abstract: -In this work, Self-adaptive Differential Evolutionary (SaDE) algorithm is proposed to solve Optimal Location and Size of Capacitor (OLSC) problem in radial distribution networks. To obtain the SaDE algorithm, two improvements have been applied on control parameters of mutation and crossover operators. To expand the study, three load conditions have been considered, i.e., constant, varying and effective loads. Objective function is introduced for the load conditions. The annual cost is fitness of problem, in a… Show more

“…IoT specific applications may require the deployment of gateways at the network edge to enable its interaction with physical sensors, preprocessing data from these sensors, and synchronizing it with the cloud. In this regard, virtualization can increase the security of cloud computing . In this section, four selected virtualization articles based on Cloud and Fog have been discussed.…”

“…The problem of optimal sizing and location of shunt capacitors has been solved by technical and cost factors [5] [6] [7]. The cost factor can help to evaluate the cost for purchasing capacitors, power loss in own capacitors and whole system after compensating when the load varies or not [5], [8]. Moreover, technical and cost problems can be solved absolutely by considering cost function because almost operational parameters are improved after placing capacitors.…”
