Optimal design of CSD coefficient FIR filters subject to number of nonzero digits

Abstract: SUMMARYIn the hardware implementation of FIR (Finite Impulse Response) digital filters, it is desirable to reduce the total number of nonzero digits used for representation of the filter coefficients.
