Optimal design of antenna array for multiple targets microwave power transmission with precise power division ratio control

Abstract: A novel method used to design multiple targets microwave power transmission antenna array that could transmit power wirelessly to discrete targets with different power division ratios is introduced in this study. The maximal transmission efficiency and the precise power division ratio could be achieved simultaneously by utilising the basis functions, which are optimised for high‐transmission efficiency, and the power division ratio is achieved precisely by investigating the transmission coefficients related to… Show more

“…Wireless power transmission has gained considerable attention in the past decades, which is able to supply power to devices wirelessly. It is generally classified into two primary categories: near-field magnetic inductive powering or magnetic resonant powering and far-field microwave power transmission [1,2]. The near-field powering is restricted by a short transmission distance while the far-field microwave power transmission provides a preferable alternative for power delivery in a longer distance.…”
