Abstract:Abstract-In this paper, we propose an optimization framework for the design of CDMA-based cellular networks. The framework incorporates both the uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) quality of service (QoS) constraints to determine the base station (BS) selection and base-station-to-mobileuser association. The framework also allows the network planner the flexibility to trade-off the net profit with the total transmission power. The framework also allows the network operator to examine the effect of varying number of… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
