Optically controlled time and wavelength switch using cascaded nonlinearities of a PPLN waveguide in a fibre loop interferometer

Abstract: By exploiting cascaded second-order nonlinearities of a PPLN waveguide incorporated in a fibre based loop interferometer, we have experimentally demonstrated an optically controlled time and wavelength switch with a switching efficiency as high as 90.3%.
