Optical self-oscillatory medium based on a Fabry–Perot interferometer

Abstract: A giant linear electro-optics (Pockels) effect (up to 17 pm V −1 ) (for wavelength about 435 nm) in ZnO crystalline films doped with fluorine and deposited on bare glass has been found. For description of the observed phenomenon, a complex approach including self-consistent band structure calculations together with an appropriate molecular dynamics simulation of the interface structure was applied.
