Optical-Pumping Determination of the Nuclear Magnetic Moments of the Radioisotopes Mercury-193, -193m, -195m, and -1

Abstract: The technique of optical pumping has been used to determine the nuclear magnetic dipole moment of spin-T~, 4-h~3Hg, and the spin-~isomers, ].P-h B~Hg, 4P-h 5 Hg, and 24-h 9™Hg. Nuclear magnetic resonance was observed following orientation of the 6s2 1S& ground state.
