Optical Properties of the Quasi-Periodic One-Dimensional Genarilized Multilayer Fibonacci Structures

Abstract: Abstract-Optical properties of generalized dielectric Fibonacci multilayer generated by the rule S l+1 = S n l S m l−1 with a pair of positive integers m and n were studied. The initial generations S 1 and S 2 are taken as S 1 = H and S 2 = L where H and L are two elementary layers with refractive indices n L = 1.45 and n H = 2.3, respectively. In the following numerical investigation, we chose SiO 2 (L) and TiO 2 (H) as two elementary layers. We use the so-called "antitrace" map to determine the transmission … Show more

“…A great deal of work has been done by technologists for the development of methods for designing multi-layer films with prescribed characteristics [17][18][19][20][21]. Tunable optical filters have received much attention due to their application in fibre optic communications and other optical fields.…”

“…In particular, large parts of these one dimensional photonic crystals were designed for application in the infrared wavelength ranges. Several research groups have reported that a simpler to fabricate Bragg mirror suffices to design a low loss omni-directional reflector [21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29].…”
