Abstract: The many interesting and unique physical properties of nanocrystallineSi/amorphous-SiO 2 superlattices stem from their vertical periodicity and nearly defect-free, atomically flat, and chemically abrupt nanocrystalline-Si/SiO 2 interfaces.
