Optical Properties of Multi-Microgratings, Their Replication and Applications

Abstract: Multi-microgratings are defined as arrays of one-dimensional diffraction gratings inscribed inside similarly shaped cells and then arrayed in a two-dimensional periodic fashion. Due to the high number of spatial periodicities, these structures form intricate diffraction patterns. A meticulous understanding on how the diffraction patterns form and what their optical properties are has not previously been studied and it is necessary in order to be able to exploit these properties in a variety of applications.
