“…Early implementations of the injection-seeding strategy have been reviewed, 9,10 beginning with the pioneering work of Bjorkholm and Danielmeyer, 11 who used pulsed, single-mode ruby and Nd:YAG lasers as pump and seed, respectively, for a LiNbO 3 OPO. In addition to our own contributions, 2,3,12-16 there are numerous previous instances 11,[17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29] of injection-seeded pulsed OPO devices in which the seed radiation is of sufficiently narrow bandwidth to attain SLM operation of the OPO. Many of these examples pertain to TDL-seeded OPOs, 2,3,[12][13][14][15][16][19][20][21][22][24][25][26][27]29 whereas others include OPO injection seeding with cw dye, 17,28 color-center, 18 and Ti:sapphire 23 lasers.…”
