Optical metasurfaces based on spheroidal nanoparticles: Theory and applications

Abstract: In this paper, we review our recent results about the theoretical modeling and the possible applications of optical metasurfaces made of arrays of spheroidal nanoparticles. We consider both the case of plasmonic and dielectric nanoparticles, and we show how their peculiar responses in the visible range make them plausible candidates for several innovative nanophotonic applications.
