Abstract:Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is a disease that uniquely affects prematurely born infants. This disease is caused by disordered retinal vascular proliferation and may lead to blindness. The gold standard for ROP screening, diagnosis and monitoring is indirect ophthalmoscopy examination.
