Optical axis-driven field discontinuity in a hyperbolic medium

Abstract: The altering permittivity tensor of a hyperbolic medium from diagonal to off-diagonal by the constructive manipulation of the optical axis (also called tilted hyperbolic medium) has attracted much interest recently.
