Optical and structural characterization of thin films containing metallophthalocyanine chlorides

Abstract: International audience

The structural and optical investigation of thin films containing aluminum and gallium phthalocyanine chlorides is presented. The films were fabricated by Physical Vapor Deposition technique onto quartz substrates and annealed after fabrication in an ambient atmosphere for 24 h at the temperature equal to 150 °C or 250 °C. The experimental results and theoretical calculation of the Third Harmonic Generation process are reported. The third order nonlinear optical properti… Show more

“…A few theoretical models, using various approximations, have been described in order to determine the value of χ <3> elec from the shape of the experimental curves obtained by the THG technique [30][31][32][33][34]. We used two selected models: Comparative and Reintjes, for results explanation.…”

“…This model compares [30][31][32][33] directly the maximum of light intensities amplitudes for third harmonic of the nonlinear sample with those of the reference material used for a calibration of the experimental setup. The value of the third order nonlinear susceptibility χ <3> elec is derived by comparing third harmonic peak intensities of the sample and reference material (fused silica glass in this experiment).…”

“…All measurements were carried out using the rotational Maker fringe technique (Maker et al 1962) in the transmission scheme (Zawadzka et al 2013b(Zawadzka et al , 2015bPłóciennik et al 2015). A silica glass plate has been used as reference materials for the third harmonic generation measurements.…”
