Abstract:Zinc selenide films have been produced by hydrochemical deposition through reaction between zinc oxide and selenium in the presence of hydrazine and sodium sulfite in an alkaline solution. Independent of deposition conditions, the films consist of sphalerite ZnSe and have a band gap in the range 2.6-2.7 eV. With increasing sodium sulfite concentration in solution, the average grain size increases to 0.75 µm (at Zn 2+ : = 1 : 10).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
