Operative Cholangiography: Evaluation of Its Routine Use in 569 Cholecystectomies1

Abstract: From 1974 till 1979, 569 cholecystectomies with routine operative cholangiography were performed in the university surgical unit, Kwong Wah Hospital, Hong Kong, for non‐malignant diseases of the gallbladder. Gallstones were present in 522 cases. Acalculous cholecystitis occurred in 47 cases.
