Operating Performance of Pure Electric Loaders with Different Types of Motors Based on Simulation Analysis

Abstract: The electrification of loader designs can utilise several power motor types. Hence, this study investigates the operational performance of pure electric-powered loaders matched with three types of motors. Firstly, for the ZL08 loader, it is proposed that a pure electric-powered loader structure adopts two motors to drive the walking and hydraulic systems separately. Secondly, the dynamic parameters of the two motors were matched, and then, a joint vehicle dynamics model of the control system, the Multi-Body Dy… Show more

“…Due to the need to consider the shape and contact forces of particles, the discrete element method (DEM) based on EDEM software has been widely used to model soil [6][7][8]. The interaction between components and soil under various working conditions can be well simulated by combining the DEM with MBD technique [9,10]. Additionally, hydraulic simulation technology based on AMESim has been widely used to analyze the response characteristics of hydraulic systems [11,12].…”

“…Lots of research has been carried out on the electrification of construction machinery. Canceling the hydraulic torque converter and using the electric motor combined with the transmission to directly drive the walking mechanism can effectively improve the efficiency of the walking transmission system [6]. However, as mentioned above, traveling construction machinery often needs the transmission system to work in a low-speed and high-torque situation or even under locked rotor conditions.…”
