“…Up to 14 peaks for glycoisoforms of ovalbumin were observed using borate buffer (40 mM, pH 9.0) and a capillary coated with ZrO 2 nanoparticles . Cinchonidine nanocrystals also appear to show promise for the field of OT‐CEC .…”

“…Kitagawa et al. embedded cinchonidine nanocrystals onto the cationic PDDA via electrostatic LbL deposition . Qu and coworkers have fabricated an octadecyltrichlorosilane (C 18 )‐derivatized silica nanoparticle‐based coating using a “multilayer‐by‐multilayer” deposition approach .…”

“…Separations in OT‐CEC are dictated inter alia by the electrophoretic mobility of the analytes, the magnitude of the EOF and the chromatographic affinity of the analytes for the coating on the inner capillary wall. The types of interaction encountered may be hydrophobic , aromatic as manifested via the classically known π–π stacking , hydrophilic (dipole–dipole and hydrogen bonding) , and ionic interactions . These interactions are responsible for the reversed‐phase, ion‐exchange, hydrophilic interaction, mixed mode, and chiral characteristics of these separations, as indicated in Table , third column.…”
