“…van Leeuwen et al (2018) have found that the Gold OA publishing in Denmark, The Netherlands, and Switzerland, though relatively low, is becoming increasingly important and shows slow growth. Togia et al (2018) while observing a significant increase in OAJs in Greece reveal that majority of the OAJs are published in the fields of Arts/Humanities, Social Sciences and Medical Sciences with academic institutions and societies in lead in terms of publishing OAJs followed by research centers and commercial publishers. Liu and Li (2018) on "examining the characteristics and evolutionary trends of open access (OA) publications in natural and social sciences" observe a dramatic growth of OAJs in both the fields.…”
