OP04.05: Assessment of fetal myocardial performance using standard and modified Tei index in normal population

Abstract: Oral poster abstractsConclusion: Fetal PCAD causes stress at different fetal ages resulting in a wide range of secondary pathology. Disproportionate RV hypertrophy is the most common prenatal finding. Clinical outcomes range from mild symptomatology to lethal respiratory insufficiency. (TABLE). MV E/A ratio, but not TV E/A ratio, was slightly higher in hydropic CCAM. No fetus had pathologic ductus venosus flow. Conclusions: There is no evidence of significant systolic or diastolic dysfunction in hydropic CCAM… Show more

“…In comparison, the MPI is a more complex tool for the evaluation of cardiac function. Many publications have applied the Mod‐MPI to both normal and pathological pregnancies, but despite its physiological promise, there has been a disappointingly broad variation in normal ranges (Table 1)6, 11–43. Corresponding alterations with common pathologies from those groups publishing normal ranges are shown in Table 26, 18, 23, 24, 26, 28, 38, 40, 44–49.…”
