Online Rumor Diffusion Model Based on Variation and Silence Phenomenon in the Context of COVID-19

Abstract: In the era of mobile internet, information dissemination has made a new leap in speed and in breadth. With the outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the COVID-19 rumor diffusion that is not limited by time and by space often becomes extremely complex and fickle. It is also normal that a piece of unsubstantiated news about COVID-19 could develop to many versions. We focus on the stagnant role and information variants in the process of rumor diffusion about COVID-19, and through the study of varia… Show more

“…From the perspective of research content ( 39 41 ), the research hotspots of carbon neutrality are “CO 2 electroreduction, microalgal biomass, air capture, water splitting.” It is mainly divided into three directions: the first is to study biomass energy, such as exploring the source of raw materials and the future of biomass energy; the second is to study the possible negative effects of biomass energy, such as the carbon emission calculation model of biomass energy; the third is to study the ways and methods of CO 2 electrochemical reduction, including the research of catalyst and catalytic environment.…”

“…The main work of this paper is as follows: Firstly, referring to Ju et al [ 31 ], we propose an ISVOR model with concepts of “variation” and “oyster”. According to the model, we divide people into three groups: I (Ignorant), S (Spreader), and V (Variation).…”

“…In contrast, blockchain technology uses a distributed storage mode to store data and is widely regarded as an inherent information storage mechanism. It is very suitable for solving the problems of system centralization, lack of data monitoring [4][5][6], data tracking [7], and lack of trust in traditional traceability systems [8]. Blockchain is the core supporting technology of the digital cryptocurrency system represented by Bitcoin [9].…”
