“…After the 3-month healing period, the healing caps were replaced by an Equator attachment and the implant-retained mandibular overdentures were loaded. 36 After 3 months of implant-retained overdenture usage, the ST test was performed again. Experienced operators performed all masticatory tests (RMMM) and all weighing (AJS).…”

“…Implant surgery drill sequence was followed to install two NDIs (ø2.9 × 10 mm, Facility NeoPoros, Neodent Osseointegrated Implants, Curitiba, Brazil). The NDIs used in this study were made with titanium grade V, have a cylindrical implant body design with a 5‐degree angled morse connection, a double lead thread design, a frictional attachment system (Equator attachment, Neodent Osseointegrated Implants, Curitiba, Brazil), and a diameter of the prosthetic settlement of 3.5 mm; the attachments were installed with the aid of a hammer . Bone quality was determined during osteotomies according to the subjective perception of an experienced surgeon based on the bone density (dense bone and extremely soft bone) .…”

“…Only 35 of the 243 (14.4%) SDIs were designed to support a fixed bridge with cantilever, and no crown‐root ratio >2 or immediate loading protocol was applied. In certain situations involving high occlusal demand, new Ti‐Zr implants with high mechanical stress resistance are strongly recommended to avoid this complication …”
