Abstract:Hierarchical porous carbon (HPC) materials for supercapacitor (SC) application are synthesized via a one‐step carbonization and activation method, using a novel composite activating agent with synergistic activation effect from mesophase pitch (MP) as precursor. The prepared mesophase pitch‐based porous carbon (MPPC) exhibits an ultra‐high specific surface area (SSA) of 2955.0 m2 g−1, well‐controlled pore size distribution (PSD), and exceptional electrochemical performance. The specific capacitance of MPPC‐4 a… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
